Delete your Clindr account

Last updated: 15/09/2026

You can delete your Clindr account at any time, yourself, from inside the app — no need to write to anyone or wait for a reply. This page explains the steps, what gets deleted, what is kept and for how long, and what to do if you can't log in.

How to delete your account in the app

1. Open the Clindr app and log in to your account.

2. Go to your profile and scroll down to "Your account and your data".

3. Tap "Delete my account", then "Continue".

4. Enter your password and type the word ELIMINAR to confirm — two separate checks, on purpose, so an account is never deleted by accident.

5. Confirm. The account is deleted instantly and you are signed out automatically.

Before deleting it, you can download a copy of your data (as JSON) from that same section of your profile.

What is deleted immediately

Your full profile: name, age, city, specialty, workplace, your "About you" text, your profile prompt answers, and your compatibility preferences.

Your photos: the image files themselves (photo and thumbnail) are removed from the server, not just the database record.

Your colegiado verification data: colegiado number, professional college, and the verification result.

The likes you gave other profiles, your matches, and any blocks you made.

The chat messages in your conversations: the entire conversation is deleted, for both people. We don't keep a separate copy per user, so deleting your account also removes the messages the other person wrote in that conversation.

Reports other people made about you. After a permanent ban only the minimal record described below is kept.

The record of the consents you gave when you registered.

What is kept, and for how long

If your account was permanently banned (whether you delete it yourself after a ban, or as the result of a report resolved with a ban), we keep a minimal record — a hash of your email address and the reason — for 5 years, solely to prevent re-registration with the same address. It holds no other data about you.

Reports YOU filed about other people are not deleted when you delete your account: they stay in the moderation queue so they can still be resolved, but they are unlinked from your identity.

If you ever had a paid subscription, billing records are kept for the periods required by law (at least 4 years under tax law, 6 years under the Commercial Code), the same as for any customer.

Backups: your deletion applies to future backups; a backup that already existed when you deleted your account may still contain your data until it is overwritten in the normal backup cycle.

The full detail of these periods is in Section 7 of the Privacy Policy inside the Clindr app.

If you can't log in

Email us at privacidad@islasdigital.xyz from the same address linked to your account, telling us you want it deleted. We will verify your identity and delete the account manually, to the same extent described above, within the one-month deadline set by GDPR.
